Erongo-Namib Desert
Ubique Minerals Limited holds a strategic position in Namibia’s premier mining corridor, with exploration licenses in the Erongo Region, situated within the heart of the Late Proterozoic Damara Orogenic Belt. This belt, stretching through the arid Namib Desert, is recognized globally as a prolific zone for uranium mineralization, with additional occurrences of vanadium, tin, lead-zinc, and marble.
Erongo is host to several world-class deposits and mining operations, including the Rössing and Husab uranium mines, and two large-scale projects currently on care and maintenance: Areva’s Trekkopje and Paladin’s Langer Heinrich, which is in the process of reopening. This underscores the region’s continued strategic importance and long-term resource potential.
Ubique’s focus within Erongo targets shallow uranium and vanadium occurrences, notably where vanadium occurs alongside uranium in the mineral carnotite. These minerals are typically hosted in calcretized sediments, with mineralization found near the surface, manifesting as thin films, grain coatings, and disseminations—features highly favorable for cost-efficient extraction.
In alignment with its mandate for sustainable and responsible resource development, Ubique is leveraging historic data, modern exploration techniques, and strategic partnerships to advance its holdings in this geologically favorable terrain.
